Day two of the NBC press meetings in California didn't make quite as many headlines as the opening session, but there were some significant developments regarding some of the network's shows. Again, thanks to TV Guide's Michael Ausiello, who sat through the meetings. Mike, we'll have to send some Diet Raspberry Snapple your way.
Kidnapped co-star Linus Roache is getting Sam Waterston's job on Law & Order. Waterston isn't leaving the show, though. His character's been promoted to district attorney, taking over the job left vacant when Fred Dalton Thompson left the show. Wonder what new project Thompson has lined up?
Jessie Martin may not stick around for the entire season of Law & Order. He's under contract for 13 episodes, but hasn't decided whether he wants to do any more. Martin has played Detective Ed Green since 1999.
If you saw the preview for Bionic Woman that showed Jamie Sommers having a deaf sister, forget about it. The producers have recast the role and given her sister her hearing back (along, says Ausiello, with other physical attributes)
Friday Night Lights will show fewer game scenes this season (yay!). Season two begins eight months after the season finale, presumably putting Connie Britton's character at or near the end of her surprise pregnancy. There's also a soundtrack coming out soon, though you can get the show's haunting theme song on this album (track seven).
