The Envelope, Please...

emmy.jpg

The nominees for the 2007 Emmy Awards will be announced Thursday morning on Today. If you can't stick around to see them live, we will post the list of nominees almost immediately after the announcement.

The big questions remaining as the envelopes remain sealed...

How will the Emmys honor The Sopranos in its final season? (I predict acting nods for James Gandolfini and Edie Falco, and a final Best Dramatic Series nod) CH-CHING!

Will 2005 winner Lost return to the ranks of the Best Dramatic Series nominees after missing the cut for its sophomore season? (I predict yes) D'OH!

Will any of NBC's freshman dramas make the list for Best Drama? (Friday Night Lights, yes. Heroes, maybe. Studio 60 and The Black Donnellys, not a chance) HAPPY FOR HEROES, SAD FOR FNL.

How many of NBC's four Thursday night comedies will make up the list of five comedy nominees? (I predict three: The Office, 30 Rock and Scrubs) TWO - NO LOVE FOR SCRUBS

How many cast members of The Office will get acting nods? (I predict four: Steve Carell as lead actor, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and Rainn Wilson) THREE OUT OF FOUR AIN'T BAD. SORRY, JOHN.

Will defending Best Drama 24 get nominated again, despite a subpar season? (I predict no) AND NO ONE SEEMS HORRIBLY OUTRAGED, EITHER
