Opening Day Parking Tips; Weanie Race for Kids

Kauffman Stadium, home to the Kansas City Royals is currently undergoing a $250 million renovation, so this season fans will need to "Park on the Side of the Stadium You Enter".

That is the new theme Toby Cook, Royals PR guru and the gang at "The K" came up with to get you to the stadium efficiently.  If you are going to a game this season, go to royals.com for an easy, interactive guide. Note: Cook says this change is permanent, so get used to it!

Another new concept starting this year, the "Teenie Weanie Hot Dog Races".  Children ages 8 to 11 can enter to run the race.  Cook tells me it is modeled after the adult race and it will be a weekly event.  It's a good way to entertain a child disappointed the "Little K" is gone for the season.  The child's diamond behind the scoreboard will not be complete until the 2009 season.  To enter your child in the weanie race, go to www.royals.com.

Go Royals!
