Solar Cemetery Helps Produce Energy For A Town

Here's a new, albeit, different idea.  Solar panels on top of graves to help produce power.

It's happening in one of Spains final resting places.  A Barcelona cemetery has installed 460 solar panels over dozens of graves. The panels will generate an estimated 125-thousand kilowatts of electricity every year, enough to supply about sixty homes. The installation cost more than $900,000.

Solar panels are more common place in Barcelona.

mpbata  The City Council encouraged solar and other renewable energies in the town to demonstrate the potential of this type of equipment.
