NBC Action Weather Blog

QUICK SATURDAY EVENING UPDATE

Good Saturday night,

Well all the data since our last blog still confirms everything being on schedule.  The one change to the forecast is the one warmer day  for Tuesday.  It looks like the cold front on Monday will be pretty strong & the high pressure will be slow to move out Tuesday.  So, with the main cold front arriving on Wednesday, this leaves no really warm days for quite awhile.

Have a good Sunday,

Jeff

Brent,

"ASK and it shall be given unto you, Knock and the door shall be open..."

I think that will give you an Idea to somethings, as long as it's not selfish, and it's HIS Will.

Good frosty morning to the Weather Team!!

Currently sitting at a frosty 21 degrees this morning-little wind so it is not that bad out this morning-especially for someone who kind of likes the cold as myself!!! I actually loved it outside this morning!!

The next 3-4 weeks will be very interesting and fun to follow for sure-to use a fishing analogy: the bass are in the shallows-lets go!!!!

Have a great day-with the sun and I think lite winds, it should be a very nice day today. Again, I would just like to throw out a hearty tahnk you for providing such a great place to discuss/learn about the weather. Your forcasts speak for themselves and are of course aces, but the way each of the team repsonds to questions and comments on the blog and the excitement you bring is just outstanding-so, I wanted to again say thanks!!!!

Bill excited to follow the next 4 weeks (now, if I could just do something about this thing called work and grading papers!!!)  in Lawrence *************** Bill, A great start to our day. Sunshine and we should enjoy that for the better part of today. Temps will probably be in the 35-40 degree range for the viewing area. Thanks for checking in. Jeremy

Just me again-I knew I could not just do a short blog and be done LOL!!!

One thing I have noticed on the latest surface observations (I think??) is that one can see tomorrow's front already froming in the Dakotas-there is a weak surface low currently in Eastern South Dakota and it appears it is already beginning to drag down another shot of colder air-some of the temps. in southern Manitoba and Saskatchewan are in the single digits. Exciting times!!!

I hope this observation is on the right track!! I have always got a kick out of watching this kind of stuff this time of year-doesn't take much to amuse me LOL

Ok as Mater said at the end of Cars-ok, I'm good!!!!!

Have a great day

Bill in Lawrence *************** Bill, The wind and cold will put a huge chill in the air later this week. The coldest of the air this first time will stay in the upper Midwest...but highs in the 20s are still below average. After this first surge or arctic air the next couple may be even colder. Jeremy

Well, well the plot thickens, or was that just the density of the air in Canada?;) **************** A little of both:) After the 12/18Z runs today I'll try to go more in depth about the cold air we've been talking about for 5 weeks...not just 5-7 days like others in town. Jeremy
