Good morning bloggers,

It's FRIDAY! There is series of developing waves moving by, parts of a storm that will form east of Kansas City. It is just a small fast moving system heading towards the Great Lakes. We will see some clouds, maybe a few flurries or sprinkles, and then we move into the weekend. As you can see above, there is a wind shift line/trough of low pressure moving quickly our way. This isn't really a cold front because the air ahead of and behind the wind shift are about the same. As the winds shift to the west behind this trough we will have the air coming off of the deeper snowpack to our west. This should hold temperatures to around 40 today. An Arctic front will approach the area on Saturday. Around 9 AM we will be going over the LRC. How did the 45 day forecast verify? And, we will look ahead.
