With all of the crazy weather, do you see any potential for severe weather anytime in the near term (next 2-3 weeks)?

So is this big blue blob on Intellecast's radar just deceptively impressive?!...the one that looks like it's making a B-line right towards us?!!  It looks like lots of snow to me, but what do I know?   Is it supposed to fall apart before it gets here?  Hope not!!

the snow looks decent on radar, although i dont like the direction its coming from, it could dissipate instantly coming from that way.

well, even though its really not that impressive...stations that dont have any echoes over them like lincoln, ne...are still reporting snow.  and considering that there is ample low level moisture in place here already, it wont take much for stuff to fall from the sky once it gets here...

that being said, i dont like the way the radar is acting over the IA/NE border, it seems to be breaking down...

Did you guys think the storm was going to take a more southern route than this last night, or is this the path you thought it was going to take??

probably a dumb question, but why does the intellicast radar always trick me into thinking that there is more coming than there is?  you are right, the wunderground radar looks much different.  Darn.

  Gary-------- I just watched your forecast at 5:00, and you said this evening few showers with a few flakes mixed in.  So what are you expecting? You did'nt seem concern as usually when there is a storm, will the street be snow covered tonight, ,I seen other forecast dusting to 2", just wondering . thanks for the time

i dont know where you live chiefsfan, but expect the metro to have around a half inch or less from this one....

The thing I like most about this winter isnt the snow totals..Its everytime I look at the 7 day there is always something to look at...Always a storm system, or temps jumping eveywhere..It seems like there hasnt been one time this winter I have looked at the 7 day and didnt see a chance for rain or snow...I wish all winters were like this one...Thank you Gary and the weather team for all your hard work. :)

  Do you think this storm will be like Saturday night, it kind of has that same feeling, with temp around the freezing mark, where there were wet main road ways?

It might not work, the website I put on here. Gary, Jerremy or Brett, what will the warmest day, when will the warmest day in march be and will Olathe have any severe weather? Also how much snow will accumulate with this storms deformation band?

It's my first time driving to school tomorrow so this is one the very few times I will not root for snow.

wow it's really windy!!! I have not hooked up my weather station's wind gauge yet or i'd tell you but it's howling for sure.

  The last two years we had precipitation deficits.  However, it seems we've had a lot of precipitation.  What has this winter done for our deficits?  Thanks!

WOOHOO!!!!!!....Snow with some rain mixed in...Good sized flakes coming down...No accumulation, it is still 34 degrees...I will go take a pic before it settles down.

It is snowing in St. Joseph. It started around 8:15. It is a light snow in terms of flakes, but it is coming down fast thanks to the strong wind. Main streets wet, starting to stick to less traveled roads along with sidewalks. I don't know how long its suppose to be doing this but maybe we'll get 1/2 inch when its all done. Then again the wind will blow it all away. It is blowing 25 mph and there has been report gust at 43 mph.  It's very cold.

moderately heavy snow falling...medium sized flakes blowing around a lot.  there is a dusting.  it started flurrying at about 820, but it really has picked up the past 10 minutes.

...the radar isnt very impressive.  this is likely the main show.  even though the band is intensifying, the overall system isnt impressive.  less than .5", unless it contiunues like this for another 45 minutes...
