Good morning evernone,
Southern Kansas was blasted by huge hailstorms Saturday.
On Saturday morning some severe t-storms were rolling across portions of South Central and SE Kansas. These storms were producing baseball and even softball size hail. You can see the measurement on the right of 4.25 inches. Look below at the picture:

This is just a huge hailstone, or I guess we should take the stone part out of it. So, this is just huge hail. What do you think?
There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms south and west of us today. We will blog later about the set-ups for this week.
I am going to the cancer survivors rally at 12:30 this afternoon on the Plaza. It is at the Bloch Cancer Survivors park on the west side of the Plaza. Come out and celebrate today.
Today in Kansas City, we have plenty to celebrate. At 12:30 p.m. we’ll be rededicating the newly renovated Richard and Annette Bloch Cancer Survivors Park at 47th Street and Roanoke Road, just west of the Country Club Plaza. The park, opened in 1989, was the prototype for a network of more than 20 such parks in the United States and Canada.
The 23rd annual Celebration of Life Rally will follow at 1 p.m. with music, entertainment, refreshments and more. Cancer survivors who attend will get special T-shirts, buttons identifying how many years they’ve survived, prize drawings, and the sheer joy of sharing their success with others who are battling cancer now or providing support.
