Early morning thunderstorms

Good early Monday morning bloggers,

Thunderstorms are moving through early this morning.  There is a disturbance we must watch in Nebraska that is heading this way as well.

Watch NBC Action News Today for the latest details.   Brett Anthony will keep you updated. We will update the blog soon.

Raining very hard here in Lee's Summit!  Probably picked up a half inch in 20 minutes.  Strong thunder and lightning.  I'm at 3rd and Ward.

See what happens when you go to sleep without checking the weather, you wake up to another thunderstorm that you didn't know was coming. A lot of thunder and lightening in So Olathe, raining but not heavy.  What I really want to know is, should I just give up on growing grass and flowers and just plant rice?!  Are we ever going to get out of this cycle of storms?

Quite a bit of thunder and lightning here in Paola, raining pretty hard now too.  Samhiguchi, we gave up on grass, at least in our backyard, it never stops raining and we reseeded numerous times over the past 3 years.  Finally, we gave up, cemented the entire back yard with stamped concrete, it's beautiful, the dogs love it, left them an area (6x10) that we mulch.  We can always go out and play ball with them, never have to worry about a soggy mess or muddy paws, best thing we ever did.
Now, when is this cell going to be gone?  Windy is ready to go for a walk right now, and she is hard to convince otherwise!  Hopefully by 5:45 we can head out.....hopefully.

Brett,

We got 3/10 of an inch yesterday & none of that huge hail you showed on the news just now.  I'm so glad...that would have flattened my garden!!  Overnight we didn't even get enough to register in the rain guage.

Have a good day.  I'm sure liking these cooler temps. **** Have a great day, Brett

Will the rain up in Nebraska hold together and head our way? If so what time of day are we looking at?  **** Hi, yes it will likely hold together, it will be in the area between 10 and noon.  Brett
