LRC T-shirt

Good evening bloggers,

Josh Lucht, a fellow employee on our production team, came into work today with his new shirt on.  Look at this.  We may work on our own version soon.  What do you think?

Watch tonight at 10 PM for a brand new POWERCAST!  Have a great dinner.

Unfortunately we are day to day.  It may take until next week, but I am still hoping for tomorrow.

That's funny, Gary! I don't really have much to say about the weather, it's been really boring recently, but very lucky for those with flodding and storm damage in the past weeks.

Nice shirt.  Perhaps he should wear it every 50 days.

One of our fellow bloggers has a website and he created that shirt, and I am promising that when I can afford it I'm buying at least a couple, and you said that you might be working on your own versions. I'm looking forward to it!

Just got on the blog today and read about the new weather page. It is 6:03 pm and I was wondering, is this a beta weather page or one that the team there has made?

Gary,

Do you see any severe weather for tomorrow?  I'm in the Olathe, KS area if that helps at all.  My husband is building our deck and was curious what the convective outlook is like for the next couple days...thanks...you're the BEST!!!

---------------

There may be a slight risk on Thursday, but the main threat will be hail.

Gary, nice shirt...like the retro look to it as well.  I think if you had a beautiful blonde intern to showcase it on herself then that would be nice too.

The shirt is a great idea.  I'm enjoying the calmer weather these days.  The other bloggers seem to be away from their computers and enjoying it also!

Have a nice evening!

Gary,

Any thoughts on the activity now taking place out in Central and North Central Kansas.  For that matter it looks like things are starting to crank up in Nebraska also....is this the Thursday Morning activity you were expecting or will these turn into more of an overnight event.

------------------

Bob,

Maybe something weak gets here late tonight, but Thursday night and Friday have a much better potential for an MCS near here.

Gary, do you have to wear these for roughly 50 days at a time?  Do they change each year?  It would only be fitting for an LRC shirt.

-------------------

I think they change colors every few days, and then repeat every 50 days or so.  But, it is never quite the same.   LOL

Hey Gary, you haven't sued yet for royalties, or are you waiting until you make your own then issuing a cease and desist order?  ; )

-----------------

I will wait until it becomes big and then I will sue.  Just kidding, but we may still develop  our own shirt.

I like the shirt!

People would ask..."Why is Gary Lezak on your shirt and what does LRC mean?" It is instant education for those unware of the LRC. I like it. Maybe now when I talk about the LRC, people won't look at me so strangely.

Much like the rules for wearing white, you could not wear the shirt from August to November.

Only then can you wear it until late July.

Then is must be thrown away and a new one bought.

If I had less morals, I probably would have copyrighted the LRC by now.

LOL

Gary - perhaps one of your designs could feature a 500mb map with the caption below that reads -

"I can't believe you don't see this"

I crack me up tonight...

Gary saw your forcast tonight for friday. Is that 70% Chance for rain friday morning or all day friday? Help we have bbq contest in Peculiar MO and we do not want to get wet.

Gary - I just watched your 10pm forcast and am confused.  It seemed like you were rushed tonight.  You had 60% rain chance on Friday and you have had nothing on Friday ALL WEEK now I am frantic about an outdoor event I am involved in on Friday.  Is the 60% for the overnight Thursday or is rain expected during the day on Friday now?

Sorry I missed your 10 pm forecast...I am tracking my DH's flight status and there seems to be some activity happening over the middle of Kansas tonight and in central Missouri.  Any thoughts on this...his flight was already delayed for 80 mintues on the runway in Philly...ugh!

Actually that is a good idea, if you want to get the general public in to things like this, things like T-shirts can catch people's attention and help spread the buzz and some of those people are bound to want to look in to what the "LRC" thing is all about and they at least some of them will make a great discovery... The is a new weather theory on the block that needs looking in to;)  Now you need to find a popular band and bring them on board, think of it, LRC the SONG LOL!!
Well the weather has been great here in St. Joe will be interesting to see what those MCS storms decide to do.

Okay firstly I have GOT to get one of those t-shirts.  That's awesome!

Looks like SPC doesn't have us in the slight risk even yet for tomorrow.  I wonder if we will end up there?  I hope not...I am ready for some just good old fashioned thunder storms that AREN'T severe.

WOW, I was goofing around on Wikipedia for a bit and decided to look up the term "PDS" just to see what they had, and for an example of a "PDS" Severe Thunderstorm Watch they have the one that was issued for our area last Sunday!!  Just go to Wikipedia and look up PDS and at the bottom of the page it has explaining the watches it has an example of the PDS Severe Thunderstorm Watch and it is the one that we had issued for us.  I don't know if anyone has noticed this yet or not but I thought it was kind of unique!! Good Night!

Gary, You should sell the shirts!  Not only would it raise awareness of the LRC, profits could go to a good cause...Wayside Waifs etc...  Also, any idea on timing if it MIGHT rain tonight?  Trying to get these last baseball games in for the kids.

I agree with 2 of the above bloggers that you should have a weather map on the t-shirt and it would be great to sell them to benefit Wayside Waifs/Cancer Charities....and of course the added benefit of educating the world about the LRC.
