Rain total for month of June. Near 128th & Mur-Len, Olathe, Ks     8.52"   And our Tomato plants are 5' high [& risin']    .... Niceeee :-)

I don't understand the map.  Is that the projected rainfall 72 hr prior to Jul 3 or beginning Jul 3 it is the projected rainfall for 72 hrs forward?

I was gone for two weeks in June so no rainfall totals...Sorry.  **** At the thop of the map it says 6hr total precipitation, so that is a total from 1pm Wednesday to 7pm Wednesday night.  If you look at it closely the rain is still far north of KC.  Brett 

Nearly 7.5" of rain at 147th & Antioch. Amazingly, due to the lack of rain over the last two weeks, the grass is already turning brown in parts of the lawn.

We've had 9.30" of rain so far this month at 79th and Lackman in Lenexa. 6.85" of that fell in the first 10 days, and we have only had .75" since the 14th of June, so even though it looks like we have had a ton of rain, the ground is getting rather dry. Below is my CoCoRaHS report for the month.

From my CoCoRahs obsevation in SW Grain Valley,  8.6 inches for the month of June and 26.64 for the year. I see several stations in around the Springfield area and NE Missouri reported totals of 12-16 inches for the month and also many area of Missouri have recieved over 40 inches of rain this year. Its still amazing how KCI is so far behind most of the state, rainfall patterns are so interesting.

Well, at my house in Kingsville I have recorded 9.85 inches of rain for the month.

Oh my, I just added up all my monthly totals for the year and I keep getting 36.44 inches of precip......does that seem right? I know for the past two months I have recorded nearly 10 inches of rain alone.

Total rain for June approx. 10.9" on 79th between Lackman and Renner in Lenexa.

Brays.. With 10 inches in EACH of the last two months, 36.44 would be a plausable figure.. depending on your location.  

I am just under 26 inches with 6.6 inches for June and 4.4 inches in May.  But if the 10 inches was just in June and you were around 4 to 5 inches in May (the metro area was mainly 3.5 to 5 inches or so) the 36 inch figure looks about 5 inches too high.

Ok, I thought 36.44 was a little high so I refigured and had added a couple days twice, but still, I have 32.49 for the year!! I recorded 5.35 for May and 9.85 for June.

I hope the super rainy pattern is over... I live up on a hill, but jeez, I might need to invest in a canoe if it keeps up like it was.

7.93 inches of rain in June at 151st and Mur-Len in Olathe.

Here at 138th and Roe I had 8.6", Jeremy.   April and May together with June is just over 20"   What is the norm?

I think just over 13".  So it has been wet in many places.
