Gary,

You left out my entry.  It is 26/100 and was posted at the bottom of this thread before the deadline:

Notes,

I just added it back in.  Sorry!  Good luck.

Thanks, Gary.

I could really use a good start to the contest by hitting 90 today - can you get to work on that?  Thanks!

Could we get Obama and McCain together at KCI to boost the hot air up there so we can hit 90°?

Jeri,

Our 6 PM producer Kim Woodward is moving to St. Louis.  It has been great working with her the past two years.

So where's a good place to look for historical temperature data (in case I want to track how bad my guess was)?

Luthur said:

I purposefully picked a high number in hopes that me picking a hot summer would result in a cool summer.  That would make me a winner in my own mind.  However, I didn't think I would be the second highest total.  If we only have 22 days over 90 this summer, then I will be superhappy.   It just struggles to get hot.  Even today felt real nice with the breeze and high clouds at times.

Team - Somewhere I overlooked this, but what is the prize for winning?

I think he said the prize was Snow Creek passes and dinner at Gary's.

I make good Chicken Kiev!  It is very tasty.

Ronnie, you have dinner at Gary's and then get to clean up after the dogs in the back yard.  LOL!!!

KC Hams I have the exact same weather station and I've never seen anything like that on my display.  Mine won't even display if the batteries go out, looks like yours may have kicked the bucket.

Anyway, Gary you and your weather team should be proud that you had 153 entries in this contest.  It's pretty amazing that not only do that many people check the weather blog, but took the time to respond.

One other stat that's worth noting is that mode # of days and temp (i.e. most selected value) is 19 days and 101 degrees.  Sorry I'm an Excel nerd and couldn't resist copying the numbers into a spreadsheet.

KCHams--

I don't have a station like yours--yours is a lot more sophisticated! But, mine does begin to act wonky when the batteries start to go. I think on one of the nicer days a couple months ago, it was showing either in the 90s or in the 20s (I can't remember what it was now.) So, I had to get hubby to replace the outside sensor's batteries. I think the inside batteries are trying to do the same thing again now, but I've tried just resetting the thing, and that seems to help. Sometimes those electronic gadgets we all have need to have that done. :) Home this helps!

Elaine and nastyweather,

That unit sits on the fridge right in my line of sight when I'm sitting at the kitchen table. I looked up and just started laughing. I thought it would be fun to share since the contest deadline had just passed (I just KNEW I should have gone higher with the max temp!). It's been indicating for a few days that the batteries need to be changed, I just didn't expect it to cop an attitude about it! =)

BTW, if it gets that hot, we're moving to Minnesota. LOL
