Good morning bloggers,
Yesterday was an exciting day as I met the Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan. Have you ever watched his show, it is on the National Geographic Channel on Friday nights at 7 PM. He was here as the guest speaker athe KC Animal Health Corridors Homecoming event at the Hyatt last night. I got an hour interview with him talking about my issues with Breezy, and he worked with Stormy. We will have a special segment on Breezy's progress and the Dog Whisperer coming up later in September. While we were doing the interview across the street from the Hyatt, Barack Obama's motorcade drove in and dropped him off at the Hyatt, so it was a rather interesting day to say the least. Ellen and EJ, Newsradio 980 KMBZ have posted this on their website as well. Here are a couple of pictures:

Cesar Millan (the Dog Whisperer) with Stormy showing me some tiips on what to do to become the pack leader. Tim Helleck, our photographer below did a great job. Look for the segment during premier week on NBC in late September.

I hate to use the term "boring", but this what we are going through with this weather pattern. Suddenly, it just won't rain. Earlier in the month we had some very good chances for rain that just didn't produce. Something just keeps going wrong. Right now, the remnants of Tropical Storm Fay continue to be in the form of the low pressure area on the Mississippi/Alabama border, and this combined with the high pressure area over the Great Lakes is bringing us the beautiful and very dry weather as you can see below:

There is a weak cold front moving across the northwestern states. This is associated with an upper level storm that will track well to our north. The front will barely move through us Thursday night. This will bring our next chance of showers and thunderstorms. Other than this set-up we don't see too many chances for rain the rest of the month. We will be tracking the holiday weekend forecast on NBC Action News tonight. And, Hurricane Gustav is beginning to look like he will stay over warm water and stay south of Cuba. If this happens, then Gustav could become a monster hurricane. I am not sure yet, but we will track these developments as well tonight.
Have a great day.
Gary
