You are so lucky you got to have a meeting with him, I bet you were really curious about what magic you could work with little Breezy.  I love your dogs, they must make your family complete and your house a home.  That's how my husband and I feel about our three "boys".  :)  Yay! Thanks for sharing this with us and have a blast with all the pumped-up dudes at the expo this weekend!

Gary, I sure hope this helps you and Breezy.  Years ago, after watching a mother dog raise her puppies, I realized that in order for me to be the 'mother dog' I had to follow her lead.  Ha, amazingly it works pretty well, most of the time.

I missed the show. We had dinner guests that stayed to play with model trains. Did anyone else notice the sun rising this morning. It was so pretty. A nice deep red, it did not look real. Anyway, have a great weekend everyone!

Enjoyed the Dog Whisperer segment very much!  I think Brock's issues stem from nervousness.  He has some nervous aggression especially with dogs larger than him.  It's getting better but we still have a long way to go.  Did anyone else notice the fog in low-lying areas this morning?  I drove by Loose Park and it looked almost mystical with all the fog around the park- so cool!  And Jeremy, Happy B-day!  You are what 29 and holding forever?!?  Dea

I saw the low lying fog this morning too. It was so neat looking! When I drove past Lake Jacomo just when it was starting to lighten up it looked like something out of a movie. Still boats tied up, lights on on the docks, and this gentle ground/lake hugging fog just wafting by. Very cool. Happy Birthday Jeremy, may you have many more!

i found it extra entertaining today to glimpse at the midrange gfs.  i am excited to see some semblance of consistency with the early oct. storm.  right on schedule it seems.  the current gfs has 850 temps approaching freezing for us in 1 week! the 540 line gets close too, but its a little early for that...but needless to say, with 850 temps around 0 C, and decent qpf suggested, we could be in for a very cold, dreary fri-sat next week...only a couple more days of warmth!

as far as the front on monday goes...timing is of course key.  i personally believe that it will come through slightly faster, where as judging by your guys' forecast, you think it will be an evening time front...or later.  next week is going to be an interesting week to follow!

btw, it looks like a pretty strong shot of cold air coming by tues/wed.  i would say that unless if it modifies greatly within the next 36 hours, we will be looking at 60s for highs on tues/wed at the best...it could even be a 58-60 and sunny type day by wed imo....but 70's? i dont think so...

You sound 100% sure of 50s or 60s for highs next week.  Looks like with the second push of cool air depending on cloud cover some 50s are possible.  I think our forecast has covered this well along with our discussion on air.  We've had 60s to lower 70s for highs thru Wednesday.  Overall our trend has been for a cool down with lows falling back into the 40s.  Looks more fall-like by mid week as you mentioned.  The GFS is really bullish with the second push of cool air though.

If that verifies or something close to it this would also be the first lake-effect snow of the season for areas downwind of Lake Superior and probably Michigan.  When I lived in Marquette, MI back in 2000 the first weekend of October had a 10" snowstorm!
