Evening Rain...

Watch NBC Action News HD after NFL Football as we track rain on LIVE:ESP!

Good evening bloggers!  If you still have your rain guage set-up, please send along you rain totals and I will show a list during our newscast after the game.  The radar estimates put over 3" of rain in parts of Anderson, Linn, and Miami counties.

Below is the NEXRAD radar rainfall estimates thru 5:45 p.m.

The heaviest rain this evening will be from the southeast side of the metro and points east and south.  Overnight scattered showers will continue, before ending early Monday.  There should be some sun Monday afternoon.

I see that people are talking about a powerful low system coming in at the end of the week, but I don't see temps dropping that much on the 7 day forecast. I was hoping for 60s on Thursday and 30s on Friday. Are the temps moderating a bit because it is still October?

********************

I think the path of the low will play a big part in temperatures.  It looks like it will be near or west of KC.  This would keep us in the warmer air longer.  There's still some chilly air that will move in behind the cold front.

Gary, can the roulette wheel land on this section for the 09-2010 winter?

http://tinyurl.com/yjhrsqe - This was the march storm that people were predicting 10-30" of snow for at first, I don't want that but enough to cover the grass is nice. Have a good evening, and be careful! There have been tons of accidents recently!!!

.54 inches in La Cygne.

Wow, A Dogg - I'm only 10 miles from Drexel and haven't been getting the deludge of rain that you have been getting. We did get a bit of hail earlier today, but I could see the darker skies off to the North East.

The ground is so saturated that it can't hold anymore water. Puddles are everywhere and the walking on the ground is like being on a sponge... squish-squish. Pastures are getting torn up from the livestock and mushrooms are everywhere in the yard. Corn and soybean Crops behind us are looking pretty dismall.

The city lake is or was very high as of this evening. It was almost over 18 highway, the last time it got that high was the storm on june 15th.
