The 12Z GFS goes insane with Ike, hopefully it is out to lunch on that one.

Nick,

That storm for Monday is likely going to put a crazy spread of temperatures across the viewing area. Maybe upper 40s or low 50s in northwest Missouri and close to 80 near Clinton!

***********

I guess there could still be a few showers around this evening...but the trend should be to dry out this evening and tonight from west to east. The overnight showers look to stay well south of KC.

*****************

Monday looks pretty wild. That front will be the dividing line between 70s and 80s and 40s and 50s! I went 75 for KC on Monday now. But very likely the front sets up over or near the city. It could be around 80 on the south side of town with upper 50s on the north side at some point in the day. Tough to pick one number for Monday:)

Concerning Track and Intensity. I see the majority of the models point to LA, but what about the Intensity forecast? If he does hit there as a cat 3, etc. Hopefully people still head the warning, just because Gustav wasn't major, they shouldn't let their guard down.
