We have a rather complex forecast on our hands for the holiday weekend. I do believe it will rain Friday and Saturday, but if the timing is right then we will still have a pretty good Independence Day. One thing that is fairly

re: A Wednesday Evening Update

I was actually hoping it would be dry and hot for the Fourth. Now I'm just hoping the day doesn't turn into a wash out. Nothing ruins that holiday faster than rain!

----------

The latest data is showing that the rain will be ending by early afternoon on Saturday. It is looking now that it should be dry for the fireworks.

I missed the 6 o'clock show :(

I'm thankful for the increased humidity and chances of rain over the holiday weekend I hate to say. Accidents do happen, like the time I was at the lake, and somebody, who was very responsible with fireworks, had an accident, and shot one at the side of the neighbors house! Thankfully, no harm done!

The only sad thing about the morning rain is... once again we will be high on the "uggy" scale! Maybe 6 or 7? In the soupy, and maybe close to the excessive range... again! Once again, maybe not a bad thing.

Maybe remnant outflow showers? These storms are hard to predict ;)

re: A Wednesday Evening Update

Here's my entry for the uggy scale:

0 = lovely
2 = bearable
4 = damp
6 = sticky
8 = drippy
10 = oppressive

And my Congratulations on your 10 years at KSHB!!!!! What year did you come to Kansas City? That's about how long I have been your fan for the weather and your dogs. You were in your 20's, I believe, and had plenty of hair. In recalling those long ago days, I got to thinking about Kelly Waldo who was the morning news anchor way back then. Wonder where she is now--she did move to Chicago when she left KC. I always enjoyed her, too!

Edna in Leavenworth

re: A Wednesday Evening Update

Our family is coming up from Joplin to the K on Friday night for the game.
